ORTHOPEDIC EXAMINATION

RADIOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION

Clinical examination with broad-range investigation of the whole locomotory system. This includes palpation and dynamic examination and possible nerve blocks for locating the source of lameness or pain. Different surfaces can be used during the examination and patients can be seen also ridden or trotted with sulky.

High quality digital radiographs for imaging the bones in limbs and the vertebral column.

ULTRASONOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION

We have different ultrasound machines available for the optimal examination of the soft tissues and bone surfaces.

 

Our team members are ISELP trained veterinarians; which is a very valued education society with high knowledge of equine musculoskeletal system ultrasonography.

PURCHASE EXAMINATION

Unbiased examinations of current health status of the horse and analysing the risks for its intended use in the future. Our vets are familiar with different sport disciplines and are experienced with pre-purchase examinations for international sales of horses also.

ENDOSCOPIC EXAMINATION

Full endoscopic examination of the respiratory system. Samples from the airway track can be taken during the examination for getting the accurate diagnosis. Indications for scoping can be coughing, nasal discharge, noise from airways during the training, poor performance and recovering problems.

Full dental examination, annual teeth care and tooth extractions can be done with the latest knowledge and high quality equipment.

INTERNAL MEDICINE

For more complicated and wide-range internal medicine problems there is an specialist available in Estonia at certain dates monthly.

For example full gastroenterologic examination, including gastroscopy of the stomach and ultrasonography of the intestines. It would be recommended for patients with chronic weight loss, recurrent colic, diarrhoea, anorexia and poor performance.

LABORATORY SERVICES

Blood haematology, biochemistry and histopathological samples are sent to our reference laboratories abroad.  

Inflammation blood test SAA is available at stable visits.

TREATMENTS FOR JOINTS

Aseptical treatments of synovitis, capsulitis or arthritis in the joints. Medication protocols are always customised for every patient and range of different medications can be used depending on the case.

Non -steroidal, steroidal anti-inflammatories, hyaluronic acid, polyacrylamide hydrogels and regenerative medicine are available for joint treatments.

  • PRP, platelet rich plasma. This product can be made by collecting horse's own blood or using allogeneic products. We have both options available for different treatment protocols. PRP can be used in treating the soft tissue injuries or joints as well.​

  • PROSTRIDE. Autologous protein solution device. Novel option for treatment of inflammation in joints and helping to repair soft tissue injuries. It is collected from horse's own blood and does not require incubation time. Prepared and used on the same day.

  • PRF, platelet rich fibrin. This product can be made by collecting horse's own blood. It’s a novel treatment modality for increasing the growth factors in the damaged tissues.

  • STEM CELLS. Available for soft tissue or joint treatments.
